While mommy and Jodie were juggling away from home, Daniel took his daddy and sisters to a friend of a friend’s place in Tracy to check out and ride the trains.

That joyful smile definitely tells me that my little man had a blast. The ringmaster did too.

Bill tells me that the place is for sale. No honey, we are not buying it! But you CAN show it.

I am definitely not a morning person. Being Vampira, the night shift nurse, has nothing to do with that either. So having made the point that I am not a morning person, I have to say some mornings are worth getting up early for. This morning was one of those mornings as my little man came downstairs in these purloined pink hello kitty slippers that he has laid claim to. Just like his Daddy, this young man is comfortable enough in his own skin to wear pink, fuzzy, hello kitty slippers and not care what the world might think.

For the record, he thinks that everyone is jealous. They should be. I know that I am because I don’t have fuzzy pink, hello kitty slippers and right now my feet are cold.

There comes a time in every father’s life when he must pass on to his young son his know-how of all manly things. Today Bill taught Daniel how to make “mean toast”. The syrup was Daniel’s idea.

I imagine shaving is just around the corner.
To my preemie mom friends who are at the stage of stressing over will they ever eat, or eat enough, or get off of tube feedings or gain enough weight I offer this bit of encouragement.

Yes, I am having fun with my toy! It’s barely 9 am and I think the circus act is more than annoyed with the mamarazzi.
