Sitting here in the Phoenix Airport while I wait for my boarding call, I am heartened by two things:

First of all I am feeling all warm and gooey just knowing that yes, I am ALMOST THERE (HOME)! This photo was actually taken in the Atlanta Airport this past Wednesday as I began this little trip…from Sacramento to Atlanta to St. Louis. Of course that makes perfect sense!

Second of all I am so grateful to be sitting in the Phoenix Airport rather than the Atlanta Airport. That place was nothing but a hot mess. The gate to our connecting flight here is right next to the gate where we first arrived. Go figure. In Hot (mess) Atlanta, our connecting flight gate was at a gate located at the opposite end of the airport.

Well, it’s time to board the plane so kids, if you are reading this, I suggest you get the Big Top cleaned up. I love you and I can’t wait to see you and hug you and kiss you and squeeze you and share the presents that I got you.
