So what if this is a very popular pose for pregnancy portraits. It is still freakin’ awesome.
It is getting pretty exciting here under the Big Top. We all just can’t wait to meet this coming attraction.

Our local NBC affiliate doesn’t carry the third hour of the Today Show. I guess that they believe that some goofy-assed, smarmy Fox network produced talk show is better fare. Given the alternative of watching Kathie Lee Gifford, I am not sure which could be worse. Anyway, as a public service to everyone who lives in my neck of the woods and has read that Stockton Record article, who has asked me lots of questions about this thing called mommy-blogging, I give you this segment from the Today Show that aired today.
Note to Kathie Lee (who I guess won’t read this not because I am a third-rate mommy blogger but because she doesn’t know anything about these new-fangled things called computers): you haven’t changed a bit! You were a grating idiot who talked over your guests during your stint with Regis and you still are. Dear Kathie Lee, mommy-blogging is not a bad thing. It is not an evil thing. Perhaps if you had just shut your yap Heather might have been able to make you at least see her/my/our point of view. The kids and families of bloggers are as safe here in the land of mommy(and daddy) blogging as they are in the neighborhood schools, at the park with their families, at the mall with their moms or their friends and even in their own homes. What we do is no different than what you have done over the years as a talk show host. We share what is going on in our lives, our children’s lives, our neighborhood, in our bedrooms and even more personal or gross than that. Yes, we cross the line sometimes…just like you have done in your public life and career. But we live and learn…just like you have. This mommy-blogging may not be your thing and that’s okay…really, it is okay because frankly I don’t think I could stomach what you might have to say in a mommy blog. It takes all kinds to make a mom. That is definitely okay.
Note to Heather: You looked hot and that dress was amazing!
