Jeff feels that I am ignoring him so he has tagged me for this fabulous meme. I’m sorry Jeff. I really am not ignoring you, really. I am just busy enjoying my grand life. So because I do love Jeff and have nothing better to do….laundry, fix dinner, write the unit newsletter that must be published by Monday, give myself a pedicure…I will share ten things that make life grand for me. Also in deference to Jeff, I will focus on the here and now rather than the sunsets, five wonderful children, an awesome husband…you know the obvious stuff.
1. The diet coke with lime that I am enjoying as I write this. That was for the diet coke with lime deprived Jeff. Want some?
2. My getting the night off tonight after being back at work for only one night since my vacation.
3. Soaking in our brand new hot tub. It has become a nightly event here under the Big Top and, yes, I must confess it does involves sunset gazing.
4. The cute little brown tankini I bought last week after trying only 12 different swimsuits…it could have been after trying on a hundred or more so I will count my blessings.
5. The wonderful silk sarong I picked up at Cost Plus World Market for only $10 to go with the cute little brown tankini.
6. Bill agreeing with me that, of course I should go, when I showed him the PreemieCON 2007 brochure this morning.
7. Caring for a micro-preemie who has finally progressed past extremely critical status to stable growing preemie status and celebrating with mom this milestone. They have miles to go, I know it, they know it but what made it grand was she expressed gratitude that I m with them as they continue on this roller coaster ride that is NICU life.
8. The conversation I just had with Daniel where he informed me that he is a genius.
9. The no kids on the computer week that I have enjoyed. Alas it is over as they were grounded from the computer for only a week.
10. The Napa wine tour I will be taking tomorrow with Bill and two wonderful dear friends. Already I am practicing what I hope to be saying all day…Shouldn’t we be getting more wine?
And now I get to tag two people. I can tag two. So I want to hear from Abby & Sharon and the Awesome Mom and anyone else who wants to share. Tell me ten things that make your life grand.
